Mammoth Mountain

Feb 28 to March 7, 2009

mammoth
Join us and enjoy “Pure Mountain Fun” at Mammoth!

It’s been a while but we’re going again to Mammoth Mountain in the Eastern Sierra Nevada Mountain Range.  There are over 3,500 ski-able acres with 29 lifts and 150 trails to ride, cruise, or fly through.  With an average annual snow fall of 400+ inches of snow and 275+ sunny days, we have every right to expect premium snow conditions for this trip.

And this time we will be staying in the lovely ski-in/ski-out Juniper Springs condos.

Mammoth Mountain terrain offers 15% expert, 20% advanced, 40% intermediate, and 25% beginner.  And if that’s not enough, nearby June Mountain specializes in beginners and is family-friendly.

TRANSPORTATION:

The club will depart Austin on Saturday, February 28, to fly to Reno, Nevada and then take a 3 hour bus ride to Mammoth Mountain Resort.  The group will leave Mammoth on Friday afternoon after the lifts close for the trip back to Reno and a Friday night stay there.

Slope side Accommodations:

slopesideThe group will stay at the Juniper Springs Resort, a slope-side condominium located at the base of the Eagle Express lift.  The two bedroom condominiums will offer all the amenities we’ll need for the trip.  The resort was recently named one of Conde Nast Traveler's top 50 ski resort properties.

LAST NIGHT OF THE TRIP:

renoInstead of the usual early morning bus ride back to the airport, the group will come back to Reno on Friday night to stay and enjoy the last night of the trip at the casinos and other night life offerings in Reno.  The group departs for Austin on Saturday, March 7th.
