The Skiing & Boarding: Copper's three main areas: Copper Mountain, Union Peak, and Union Creek, combine to give the hungry skier four bowls, 21 lifts, and 115 trails worth of action. Copper is laid out in a logical west-to-east, easier-to-harder fashion, which guards against the dreaded "no way out" syndrome for less advanced skiers. Novices will like hanging out on the forgiving Union Creek runs, whereas aggressive skiers will gravitate to the east side's B -Lift cliffs and bumps on Copper Mountain. For powder hounds, Copper Bowl and Copper Peak's Storm King lifts should have the fluff.
You won’t be stuck in a long lift line full of locals from Denver. You will have the Secret Pass lift ticket that gives you access to a priority lift line at the major lifts. You can find the most challenging slopes or delightful intermediate runs as well as an extensive learn-to-ski program if you're just starting out. With a 9,700 foot base elevation, Copper Mountain is one of the highest resorts in Colorado--that's why the snow is so light and the views are so great. A boarder's playground, Copper offers the Kidz Terrain Park complete with mini rails, boxes, jumps, and a mini-pipe to play in. Then there's Night Rider, at the base of the American Eagle lift, which is open at night. Eagle Jib Park sits atop American Eagle. Parks are groomed every night and the pipes are cut every other night. The Village The Village at Copper is a high alpine, high energy pedestrian village. Ski Copper and experience the nightlife, bistros, coffee shops and restaurants, or just hang out and relax in a lodge that seems sculpted from the landscape. Free evening childcare from 5:30 to 10 PM, Wednesday-Saturday with $30 shopping or dining purchase per child.
With massive timbered beams, foundations of boulders and fireplaces of stone, you’re at a back-country retreat that’s just steps away from everything. More options abound with the new West Lake District: a winter wonderland, adjacent to the Village, complete with an ice-skating rink and surrounded by a boardwalk hosting shops, bars and great activities. Accommodations Our 2 bedroom/2 bath condos are at the base of the mountain about 200 yards from the lifts and near the Central Village's multitude of shops and eateries. Transportation
