If you crave skiing variety, this trip is for you. This Safari offers six resorts in 6 days: Sugar Bowl, Squaw Valley, Northstar, Alpine Meadows, Homewood and Mt Rose.  They are all different and they are all fun!

The Skiing:

Sugar Bowl offers terrain to accommodate beginners and challenge experts spread across four peaks, serviced by 13 lifts and 1500 acres with 500 inches of annual snowfall. As one of the country's oldest ski areas, Sugar Bowl has kept it’s classic ski atmosphere while providing modern amenities.
Squaw Valley, site of the 1960 Winter Olympic Games, is a legendary vacation destination at the end of a gorgeous Sierra valley. Squaw's terrain may seem endless to those trying to conquer it, with 33 lifts, 4,000 acres and 2,850 vertical feet, including North America’s only Funitel, an aerial Cable Car, to access its six peaks The readers of Ski Magazine rate the resort No. 8 overall in the West with high scores for terrain variety.
Northstar has 3,000 acres served by 19 lifts.  Known for it’s tree skiing, the readers of Ski Magazine rated Northstar at No. 16 overall with high scores for grooming and resort service. On the weekends, this resort is a favorite of people from the San Francisco Bay area.
Ask anyone what they remember about Alpine Meadows and they'll tell you: great snow with soaring views of Lake Tahoe and the High Sierra. With 2,400 skiable acres, Alpine has enough to keep even the most adventurous powder hound happy for days.
Homewood is a favorite of the locals and offers Peak to Shore skiing. You’ll feel like you’re going to ski right into Lake Tahoe! This resort has 1,260 skiable acres served by 8 lifts so there is plenty to experience for a day trip.
Mt Rose has the highest base elevation the Lake Tahoe area.  From the base you’re launched nearly 1,800 vertical feet in 3.5 minutes.  The reward is panoramic views of Lake Tahoe and Nevada. The real payoff begins as you descend into 1,200 acres of some of the Sierra's best powder. The recent opening of the Chutes puts the resort in a whole new league.  Mt Rose is the closest resort to Reno.
