About Us

Austin Skiers and Travel Club is a non-profit, volunteer social club for people who love winter sports, travel and social activities. 10 - 12 group trips are posted annually for members, as well as monthly Happy Hours and other special events. The Club also has an online chat forum ("Groups") which allows members to connect in specific areas of interest, such hiking, cycling, golfing, etc.

The club is always ready to welcome new members. Drop by one of the monthly Happy Hours (north and south locations offered!) to check us out!

Club History

The Club was originally established in 1970 to help Austin skiers connect for skiing travel. Over the years, the Club has accumulated a wealth of knowledge, expertise, and ski industry contacts enabling us to find good values and provide group and ski pass discounts.

Due to members' interest in other travel and activities, the Club has expanded trip offerings to include a some non-ski trips annually and recently introduced a chat forum where members can connect in areas beyond skiing.

Membership

You do not need to live in Austin to join the Club; however, membership is required to participate in our trips, Groups (see explanation for Groups in "About Us" above) and special events. Happy Hours are free. The Club has approximately 400 members living in 16 states and several countries around the world.

We welcome families, couples and individuals who are looking for others to travel with and engage in other activities shared!
