Outgoing President's Update
It has been my privilege & pleasure to serve you as President this past year. Thanks for all your support and participation in this awesome club! I must say you have a terrific, hard-working and dedicated board who works together to provide the best ski, travel & social opportunities for Austin Skiers!
I retired in May 2017 and was elected to the club board as VP Communications. I agreed to it in the Spring of 2017. I was responsible for the monthly newsletter, website management and membership. A position I stayed in for five years.
When Tim Atkinson opted not to run again as President in 2021 I decided to. Four years later the time has come for me to now turn the reins over to someone new. It has been an honor & privilege to serve this club for 9 years. I’ve been blessed to work with some wonderful, talented & dedicated people over the years from the board to all the volunteers that make things work. I’ve been extremely grateful for their service to this club!
The “Annual Membership Meeting/Trip Presentation” is coming up on May 31. You will hear reports on what we did this past year and see a glimpse of our future trips for 2027. We will have information & pricing on all planned trips except for air. This has and continues to be a team effort! Quite simply, what this club accomplishes would be impossible without the dedication and varied skills of so many selfless volunteers. For these officers and all the other volunteers who make it possible, I am extremely appreciative of their TIME and talents.
I'm excited about the ski trip line-up this upcoming season to places we’ve not been in a while or ever, while also going back to some favorites. You will also find out at the meeting concerning the non-ski trips we’re working on for next year. Check our website for more information on our travels for 2027.Have a great summer and stay safe if you’re traveling!

Annual Membership and Trip Presentation Meeting
Please join us for our Annual Club meeting which will include next year's trips presentations.

It will be held at the Balcones Country Club in North Austin on Sunday May 31st from 4-6pm.
​
There will be appetizers and non-alcoholic beverages and a cash bar.
​
Please register for this free event on our website. Non-members are allowed to attend also.
Calling for Trip Chairs and Assistants for 2027 Ski Trips

Trip Chair credit is $1300 and ATC credit is $500
​
New this year, an additional bonus of $200 and/or $100 respectively, will be added for those exceptional leaders who go above and beyond the required duties.

Nominating Committee Update for next year's Board
The Nominating Committee is pleased to announce the slate for the 5 upcoming board positions.
These positions will be voted on at the membership meeting on May 31. Nominations from the floor will be accepted:

Thank you to these individuals who are willing to give up time and energy to support Austin Skiers and Travel. Thank you to the Nominating Committee members: Clara Swearingin, Chris Vrba, Paula Wilson, and Mary Jo Humphreys for their hard work and dedication to support leadership in the club.
New Website and Renewal starting June 1
We’re excited to announce that after six months of development, our new Club website will launch on June 1 and will be introduced at the Annual Meeting on May 31.

The new site will reduce costs for the Club, be easier to maintain, and give members simpler access to important Club information.
​
If you typically renew before the end of our current membership year on June 1, we ask that you please wait until June 1 to renew, as this will help make the transition smoother.
​
The new website will open for renewals on June 1, and members will have until June 10, 2026 to renew without any gap in membership status. Moving forward, memberships will no longer follow a fixed June 1–May 31 cycle. Instead, each membership will be valid for one year from the date of signup.
​
For members who have already renewed for next year, your membership will be transferred to the new site with a June 1 enrollment date. All future memberships will begin on the actual signup date.
​
Please note: renewals completed after June 10 will be subject to an additional signup fee, which will apply to all new enrollments.
​

We encourage everyone to attend the Annual Meeting for full details. We’ll also send an email with step-by-step instructions for renewing and making payments through the new site.
TSC Bidfest 2027 San Antonio
Open for any club member to attend. Come have fun with us and see how the TSC Ski trip process works and give your input to club leaders for our own 2028 club trips! Meet vendors, tour operators, get some great swag and enjoy food, music and camaraderie!
